Rules and Responsibilities – Asarfi Cancer Institute, Dhanbad

To ensure a safe, respectful, and efficient healing environment for all patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff, Asarfi Cancer Institute follows a set of basic rules and responsibilities. These guidelines help us deliver quality cancer care in Jharkhand while maintaining discipline, hygiene, and patient dignity.

General Rules for Patients & Attendants

• Maintain cleanliness in rooms, corridors, and hospital premises.
• Smoking, alcohol, or tobacco use is strictly prohibited inside the hospital.
• Maintain silence, especially in treatment and recovery areas.
• Do not tip or offer gifts to hospital staff.
• Always carry your hospital ID card and medical documents.
• For safety reasons, only one attendant is allowed per patient.

Visiting Hours

• Morning: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Evening: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Entry outside visiting hours is restricted unless it’s an emergency.)

Admission & Billing Rules

• All payments must be made at the billing counter only.
• Keep all receipts safely for reference.
• In case of insurance/TPA patients, submit required documents on time.

Emergency Protocol

• In case of any sudden health issue, inform the nurse or ward staff immediately.
• Avoid crowding around ICU and emergency zones.

Patient Responsibilities

• Follow your treatment plan as advised by the doctor.
• Cooperate during tests, procedures, and nursing care.
• Inform doctors about past illnesses, allergies, or medications.
• Be truthful and clear during consultations to help us treat you better.
• Do not misuse hospital property or facilities.

Attendant Responsibilities

• Be available during doctor rounds or discussions if needed.
• Respect privacy of other patients and maintain hospital decorum.
• Cooperate with security and support staff.
• Ensure that patient meals, medicine schedules, and hygiene are followed.
